报告题目：Recent progress in the theory of induced representations for quasi-split groups and their inner forms

The reducibility of parabolically induced representations is understood, theoretically through the theory of the Knapp-Stein R-groups. Understanding and classifying these R-groups is an interesting problem, and there is a strong connection with the Langlands parameterization conjecture, through the Arthur-Langlands-Shelstad R-group. It is also an important part of the work of Arthur on the local Langlands conjecture for classical groups. Recently, in a series of joint projects with K. Choiy, and D. Ban and K. Choiy, we have explored the relation between R-groups associated with quasi-split groups (particularly classical groups) and non-quasi-split inner forms. We will describe these results and discuss new directions this line of exploration might take.
